The Hauraki mine, at Coromandel, return is more satisfactory, less ore having yielded more g.ld this month, 5290z, realising £1757, being obtained from 300 tons.

At the Waihi Silverton, for four weeks' crushing, 820 tons yielded 5610z bullion, value £1108.

The following were the Saturday mid-day quotations : —Big River 13s 6d lo 14s 6a, Uuller Dredge 4s 6d to ss, Cumberland 2s 6i to 3s, Dillon Extended ls to ls 3d, Exchange Is to Is 3d, Golden Lead ls to Is 3d, Hercules ls to ls 3d, Lyell Creek 3s to 3s 3d, Lord Edward &d to ls, Keep-it-Dark 30s to 31s, No. 2 South Dark 9d to ls, Alpine 8s to 8s 6d, Welcome (paid-up) 5s bd to 6a, Boatman's Exploration 6d to 9J, Kirwan's Reward Syndicate, per full eighth share, £120 Cto £MOO.
The return for the Buller Dredge was4loz of gold for two weeks' dredging. DUNEDIN, August 22. The Clyde Dredging Company washed up on Saturday for 960z, making 288oz, value £1108 16e, for the week. The Dunedin dredge had 320z for the week.
