ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.) WELLINGTON, December 17. The arrivals in the colony during Novenv ber were 1886, as against 834 persons who departed ; 1141 camo from New South Wales, 395 from Victoria, and 201 from the United Kingdom; 543 left for New South Wales, 111 for Victoria, and 72 for the United Kingdom. There were no Chinese arrivals, while 11 took their departure.
The total number of amyale at Now Zealand ports the year ending Novembei 31st, 1896, are:—Adults, 1688; ohildren, 227; males, 1271; females, 624; or. 189S persons, as against 1886 for last year, made up as follows :—Adulte, 1703; children, 188; males, 1314; females, 572. The departures from the colony this year were :— Adults, 708; children, 106 ; males, 540; females, 274; or a total of Bl4r«i against 834 for last year, made up of—adults, 751; children, 88; males, ,568; females, 266. From these figures it will toe eeen that the total number of arrivals has exceeded that of 1895 by 9, while the departures in 1895 exceeded those of this year by 20.
