THE TRANSVAAL TROUBLE.
THE TRIAL OF DE. JAMESON. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright London, March 11. At the trial of Dr. Jameson, the evidence showed that before the expedition started the troopers suspected it was intended to fight the Boers, as Major Coventry and Major Grey hinted they were going to Johannesburg to fight for the supremacy of the British flag. The troopers complained that they were kept in ignorance of the real intention of the expedition, and Major Grey answered that it was necessary to leave these things to the officers.
