The sixteenth annual race meeting in connection with the Christchurch Amateur Swimming Club took place on Saturday afternoon at the West Christchurch School bath. The weather was fine and the attendance large, and the competitions were well filled and gob off without any serious delay. Ab the swimming tournament at St. Clair, W. S. Rice won the 300 Yards Champion' .ship of Otago in 4min 56 l-sch sec, Moellet was secoud. W. Bassett, of the Richmond Club, Christchurch, won both the Long Dive and the Plunge. The Club Relay Race, lOC yards, was won by the Melrose Football Club. The weather was exceedingly cold.
