Jakuary 26. (Before S. V*. Webb and N. C Schumacher, . Esqa.. J.P.s). DISOBETINO LAWJFUL COMMANDS. — R. Foy, J. Bullock, and D. Weatherstone, seamen on board the barque Duuedin, were charged on the information of Captain Webster with combining to refuse and neglect duty on January 2lst, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 25tb. They admitted refusing duty, bub denied that tiiere . was auy combination about their actions. Mr Nalder appeared for Captain Webster. The evidence of Captain Webster and his officers was to the effect tbat the ship arrived from Calcutta on January 19th. On January 21st tho three accused left the ship without leave, and had continued to remain away from her throughout the week. They had been drinking, and whec they came on board they were ordered to go to work, but refused to do so. They were each fined £5 or in default seven days' imprisonment.
