Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright London, December 30 The wheat markeb is quiet, and prices are steady. The fowls and ducks, ex Tongariro, brought Is 6d to 2s. Experts advise that poultry should be sent to arrive from March to May. The stocks of butter in the provinces have been virtually cleared, fine sorts bringing 90s to 955. The stocks in London, however, are still heavy. Nelson Bros, consider that Germany, Austria, and probably Belgium will be able to absorb a limited quantity of meat when the price is reduced to 3d. The demand on the-Continent is at present checked.
