Monday, December 31. (Before H. W. Bishop, Esq., S.M.) Drunkenness.—Johu Wilaou wes remanded for savon days for medical treatment. Alleged Labcenst of a Bioycle.— Augustus Petersen was charged with, having on November sth stolen a bicycle, value £20, the property of J. R. Sinclair, of Tuara street, Christchurch. Sergeant-major Mason asked for a further remau*d for a week, as the prosecutor had not returned from Auckland. The remand was granted. Trespassing.—John Bradley was charged with having been found at night without lawful excuse in a atahle, in Armagh street, belonging to the New Zealand Government. Accused denied having been in the plaoe more than a few minutes when he was arrested. After hearing the evidence, the Bench oautioued accused against a repetition of such conduct and discharged him.— l - Mary Mitchell was charged with a similar offence, committed on a different date. After heariag evidence, hia Worship said that on the understanding that she did nob go there agaiu he would inflict the lenient penalty of fourteen days' imprisonment.
