I A meeting of tin's Board was held on Thursday, February Bth. Present—Messrs R. B. Holdaworth (Chairman), T. H. Evans, and J. Mathers. Accounts (-.mounting to £166 Is 4d wore passed for payment. From the Paymaster-General, advising that the sum of £187 10s has been remitted to credit of the account of thi Board at the Bank of New Zealand, Amberley, being puymeut of subsidy under the Local Bodies' Finance aud Powers Act From the Resident Railway Engineer, stating that he regrets that the footbridge at Stony Creek bus not yet been put in hand, but as soon as the timber is delivered* > the work will bo pushed through. The Clerk's report was lead with reterence to the proposed protective works at Leithfield. The Board consider it advisable for the parties interested to do the work themselves subject to the approval of the Clerk to tho Board. The Board to contribute half cost of the work up to £7 10s.
