TRAIN SERVICE AT CHRISTMAS.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sib, —As there is no train running back from Dunedin on Tuesday night, the 27th inst., I think the authorities have overlooked the fact that there, are many people woo would go to Dunedin if they were able to get back here on Wednesday morning without wasting a whole day travelling. There is a train to Dunedin on Saturday night, and it would be a great advantage to have one running back on Tuesday night, thus allowing a number of people to take advantage of the holiday they get. I know often or twelve who would travel if the the trains ran as above, and no doubt there are a great number more. Hoping to see an alteration advertised at an early date. — Yours, &c., Citizen. Christchurch, 13th December.
