NEW ZEALAND INSURANCE COMPANY.

TO THE EDIXOB Off THE PRESS. Sib, —Believing that many . shareholders in Companies are in the habit of signing almost anything that may reach them bearing the signature of a director, I beg that you will permit mc through the medium of your columns to invite the attention of shareholders in the New Zealand Insurance Company who, like myself, may have received from Auckland a polite request for their proxies to be used, inter . alia, for the purpose of furthering the re-eleotion .of one Thomas Russell, C.M.G., on the Board of that Company, and suggest to them to ask themselves whether this man's former connection with the Bank of New Zealand, and present position on the Boards of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company and New Zealand and River Plate Land Mortgage Company warrants them in seeking to perpetuate his seat on that of the New Zealand Insurance Company.—l am, &c, D Neish.
