THE HON. R. SEDDON.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir, —In your issue of 12th instant a Press Association telegram from Wellington makes the Hon. the Premier say—speaking of his Government—" They must give trade and commerce a chance to recover and give politics a rest for a while." Truly Saul is again among the prophets. What have trade and commerce to recover from ? The Hon. the Premier says "politics," and so say I. It is really refreshing to see that our leading ruler has at last perceived the direct effect of harassing and unnecessary legislation upon our trade and commerce. May he discover its bearing upon the, wage-earn-ing classes before it be too late. *-Yours, &c. "M.D."
