Thursday, Jolt 13. (Before Mr C. A. Wray, R.M.) . Breach or By-laws.—R. Alcorn was charged, on the information of W. de B> Compton, with allowing sheep to grata on the public roads. Compton gave evidence that a number of sheep belonging to defendant had been allowed to graze on tiia roads, though the sheep were in charge of a driver. Defendant stated he w_ not aware the sheep had beeu allowed to gr&zs in ths manner stated, and if it hid been doas it was contrary to his instructions. A nooiiaa. fine of ss, without costs, was imposed. Alleged Stone-throwing. — A youta named Henry Bigg was charged with throw, ing stones at the Fire Brigade during \ke progress of a procession. Evidence «v given that one of the members of ths Brigade had been struck on the head and stunned. Defendant admitted having throve mud, but denied throwing stone*, and was cautioned and discharged. Civil Case.—John Henry v Michul Connolly, claim £8 4s. Mr Crisp for plaintiff. Judgment for amount claimed and costs. i
