THE WAIKOMITI MURDER.
(press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, May 10.
The decision has been arrived tit in the Waikomiti murder case that the law takes its course, the Executive being of opiuion that nothing has been adduced to give reason for altering the sentence of the Court. Immediately the warrant for execution arrives it will be forwarded to the Sheriff of Auckland, and the death sentence will be carried out within seven days of that date.
AUCKLAND, May 10. The news that the law most take its course in the Waikomiti murder case was announced to Scott by the Chief Gaoler at Mount Eden Prison. The convict, who was in the exercise yard, appeared somewhat anxious when called into his cell, but when told of his fate recovered his self-possession immediately, and gave no further sign of emotion.
