It is anticipated that two! thirds of thie valuation would apply to the portions proposed to be annexed. After tho report had been diecuesed the i following resolution was moved by Cr Dombrain, seconded by Cr. Brcsx. and carried:—" That the report of the Com. mittee be adopted, and that thie Council has no hesitation in recommending the annexation." It was also resolved— u That in tho event 1 of the extension being effected, Mr Tanner M.H.R., be requested to uso his influence '' with the Colonial Secretary to h»ve the gazetting delayed co as to avoid two elections."
