The monthly meeting of this Board was held on Thursday, December Ist. Present —Messrs H." Mahler, J. Mathore, T. 11. Evaus and R. Bristow. In the absence of Mr R. B. Holdsworth Mi , R. Bristow was voted to the chair. Accounts amounting to £87 4s Id were passed for payment. Receipts for the month —£93 Is 4d. Correspondence was read—From the Hospital Board, requesting payment of contribution, £93 16a 6d. It was resolved to forward a cheque for £50 on account. From the Hospital aud Charitable Aid Boards, re election of members. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr H. Blackett tor his services aa a representative on the above Boards. From the Charitable Aid Board, forwarding a, list of recipients of charitable aid. From the. New Zealand Loan aud Mercantile Agency Company, giving notice of the sale of Lots 64 and 68, part R.S. 4526, to Mr J. O'Connor, and asking that the rate roll be amended accordingly. To be attended to. Tenders were opened for No. 82, repairs to Cairns' bridge. The tender of Mr J. Wilson, £22 103, was accepted. It was resolved to invite tenders, for the next meeting, for a supply of dog collars. The plans of road diversion, Mount Brown, were examined, aud it was resolved that the necessary steps be taken to get the road closed and exehungsd. The Clerk's report was read. Some small works were ordered to be attended to, aud the Board adjourned.
