The ordinary mooting of thi3 Board was

held on Monday, tho sth inst. PresentMessrs J. W. Overtou (Chairman), T. Alsop, H. E. Peryman and J. Sinclair. The following correspondence was received:— Salwyn County Council, in reply, granting £50 for the Tramway road, and £50 for drainage. They also stated that a contract had been let for keeping clean tho Halswell River to the 31st May, 1833, and wished to know if tho Board were willing to pay a proportion of the cost. Clerk to reply tnat the Board were willing to contribute upon the same basis as last; year. From Templeton Road Board, thanking this Board for the information relative to the small birds, and stating that they were buyiug heads only. Clerk to reply that the decision of the Templeton Board to buy heads only would result in a large quantity of eggs collected iv their district being sold to this Board. Tho Board therefore trusted that they would see their way to reconsider the question. From Charitable Aid Board, forwarding printed list of persons in receipt of aid, aud asking that tho same be open for public inspection. From Mr W. Pith, asking that the sandy portion of the road intersecting his section be shingled. Work to be done when funds were available. Tlie Clerk's report was read. Resolved—That tenders be invited, returnable by the 12th inst., for carting tho broken metal from the Lansdown Quarry to tho Tramway road; that two porches bo erected at the Board's cottages; aud that tho bridge on Hay's road be temporarily repaired. Tenders were opened for re-forming Fussell's road. Mr Peryman proposed, aud Mr Sinclair seconded—" That J. Fussell's tender be accepted." Carried, Mr Aisop strongly objecting to the work beiug carried oat in the manner proposed. Tho Clerk was instructed to sue for rates after the 12th inst. The pay sheet, £42 4s sd, was then passed, aud the Board adjourned.
