SOUTH MALVERN.
■ The monthly meeting of this Board was held at the office on Wednesday. Present —Messrs Mcilraitn, Iteming, Joel, Reed and Captain Woodcock. Mr Mcllralth was re-elected Chairman. Correspondence read:—From Fisher and Co., protesting against the action of the Board in selling clay to Mr Leeming off Vipond'a road. From Mr Widdowson, in convection with the same subject, saying that an injunction of the Supreme Court would be applied for if the Board carried out its present intentions. The Board agreed to further consider the matter. From J. P. Jameson, taking leave of the Board, as he would not now be a resident of the district. On the motion of Captain Woodcock, it was resolved—" That the Board regret losing the assistance of Mr Jameson on the Board, as hie actions had been valuable and courteous." From C. Beach, asking for use of room on the occasion of making Mr Jameson a presentation ia connection with the Sunday schooL Granted. Fresh tenders were ordered to be called for certain works.:
