CHUMS ASSOCIATIOS TKLEORAICI WELLING r ON, Ootober 25. _. writer in the Evening Press having expressed the opinion that the AgricuT Sural Show next month would be poor* because it was premature, and not backed up by the great flock owners in- the Wairarapa, Dr. Newman, M.H.R., who sat. one of the most enthusiastic pronoters, has come to the rescue with a letter jo night. He says the list of subscribers XJntains all the big names with two or _hr«e exceptions, and one of these is sure to Join. -. It is astonishingly large, and ixhibita a " surprising amount of supbori considering that the West Coast fl-stricts have only been partially canvassed. There are 325 names on the roll, end they are increasing every week, while the special prize list shows over 4860. in value. In conclusion, the doctor lays'*•—" Alike in' town, and on our East k-td West Coasts, the Society has met frith aa amount of hearty and widespread Btad powerful support, which its promoters as£er dazed to hope for. Its strong and hardworking Committee is canvassing for ti-t-iss for the show. The promises are aJtaeady large. Our show yards are BMfrity finished, and we need two things to KJjhrxt' our labors with successs—(l) fine Vyi-ber and (2) a luge attendance."
