Mr Holland, the Auckland representative, has.received word that the Committee are to hold a special meeting to consider his ftppaal for funds. An old Auckland resident, now belonging to Sydney, but over here in connection with the New South Wales Court, has offered to make a Soitatton of -25 of money rather than that the Auckland court should be a failure.

Next week will see the guns mounted in the Armoury Court. The weapons shown ___the department will be a 61b rifled mux-led loader, a 6in. breech loader on a htdropneumatic carriage, three quick -bring guns, a 61b Nordenfeldt on a garri■gfe carriage, and a 61b Hotchkiss, two B-Stihine. guns, a Maxim and a two-barrel Kordenfelat, a field gun, a 61b Armstrong, aLtpinfantry rifles of all designs, from the _U&&Qck of about 1692 to the MartiniBenry of the present day.
