Brown and Co. are insured in the following New Zealand offices: —Standard £2500, South British and Colonial £2000 each, New Zealand £4000, National £2500. Barker and Co.'s stock was insured in the New Zealand Company for £3000. Tbe barque Wave Queen and the ship Cormorant, which were lying at the adjacent wharf, were injured, but not seriously, by the fire.
