A GRIEVANCE.
TO THB XSrrOB OF THB PBBSB. Sis,—l crave your indulgence for the insertion of the following letter. On the 15th of January last I was summoned by the police for allowing one horse to be at large on a public road, and again on the 9th March I received another summons for two horses for a similar offence. On the 12th of the same month I made it my business to patrol the road for my own information relative to police duties, and on the 13th I did the same, and also on the 14th. On the first named date I found seven head of cattle and eighteen sheep, and on the 13th I found five bullocks and one horse, and again on the 14th four head of cattle and two horses all at large on a public road, and in neither instance did the police take any notice. Yours, &a, « C. Eankin. Little Bivex, April 25th, 1885.
