ROAD BOARDS.
SPRINGS
The Board met on the 14th inst. Present —Messrs Ranger (chairman), F. Murray. F. Wright, and McAlpine. The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. A petition was read from the Tai Tapu, relative to the construction of road running parallel to the River Halswell road ; and it was agreed that when Messrs E. H. Hudson and J. McGowan, who headed the said petition, had completed the twelve chains of the saidjroad according to their agreement, the Board would consider the petition. The surveyor's report, brought up last meeting, was again read, and considered seriatim, and the works proposed to be executed by him were agreed to. It was resolved that a meeting should be held upon the 6th May next, to elect a member vice Mr W. Goodwin, resigned. The Board then adjourned.
