MEN’S BRISK PLAY In the men’s games play opened briskly and good positional play on both sides kept all player's on v the move. Wefet opened the scoring after nice stickwork by the inside left. A few minutes later the West forwards broke through again and the inside left made no mistake netting once again. " In the second spell the West full backs with good understanding quickly stopped all East forwards attacks and sent the West forwards on the attack. The East full backs stopped several attacks but the speed and stickwork of the West forwards eventually told and two more goals were added before the final whistle.
Both goalies anticipated well although the East goalie received the most work. In the half line East had a slight advantage as the West halves were inclined to play with their opponents instead of clearing. The game ended West 4 (N. Murphy 3, K. Civil 1) East 0. The game was controlled by B. Henderson and A. Crook.
