Standard Mark
During the year ended March 31, 1949, 164 applications for licences to use the Standard Mark were receive-’. from applicants engaged in eight different industries. Over the same period, 166 licences were issued, bringing the total number granted since 1944 to 1,063. Of 'these, 61 have been cancelled, in most cases because the licensee has gone out of business. At the close of the year, therefore, there were 1,002 current licences.
