FIJI RUGBY TOUR
N.Z. VISIT CANCELLED
According to advice from Mr J. B. K. Taylor, the tour of New Zealand this season by a Fiji Rugby team has been cancelled. Apparently conditions imposed by the Government of the Crown Colony are too restrictive. They desired the tour to be confined to & fortnight, and the team to play Maori games only. The tour was to have opened at Whangarei on August 26 and terminate at Palmerston North on September 30 against the New Zealand Maori representatives. The team was due to arrive at Auckland on August 20, under the management of Mr Taylor, a former Auckland and Wellington representative who is chairman ol the Fiji Rugby Union. The Bay of Plenty had been given a game against the Fijians. "701b?j of fat banished in 11 weeks'' Try Bonkora. Pleasant, quick, safe. F. C. Macklow, Whakritane r ,A^ > n r ', of coloured has. j ins.
