PAHOIA SCHOOL CONCERT AND PARTY
The Hall at Omokoroa presented a gav scene when the children of Pahcia School entertained thei’r parents with a concert, and were themselves entertained at a Christmas party.
A big Christmas tree was bright with lights and Father Christmas arrived early in the evening carrying a large and well-filled sack. Gifts were presented to each one of the pupils and also to small brothers end si’sters under school age. Little Patricia Jones set the lights on the tree twinkling by repeating the magic words whispered by Father Christmas. Two plays were very well presented, “The Magic Musical Box” by the seniors, and “Santa Claus in the Chimney” by the junior pupils. The latter included some charmingly dressed little fairies and a nixie who. with a rotund small Santa. * seemed to have stepped straight from the pages of a fairy story. A number of individual items were given by the pupils, and a picked choir sang traditional Christmas carols. The evening concluded with games and dancing.
