DELIVERY OF MAILS
IN DISTRICT
The following hours of attendance and arrangements will be observed at the Tauranga Post Office during the Christmas and New Year holiday period;— Friday, December 24: The usual hours of atendance will be observed. The counter will be open between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday. December 25, a close holiday will be observed. Mails will not be handled. Monday December 27 and Tuesday December 28, the post office will observe a close holiday. Mails will not be despatched and inward mails will not be sorted.
Wednesday. December 29 to Friday December 31, all branches will be open during ihc normal hours of business.
Saturday, January 1, a close holiday will be observed. Mails wi'l not be handled. Monday. January 3 and Tuesday, January 4, the post office will observe a close holiday. Mails will not be despatched and inward mails will not be sorted.
The Tauranga telephone exchange will be open continuously on all days. No air mails will be despatched on days on which the post office is closed.
Daily rural deliveries (OropiPyes Pa, Kaimai-Omanawa and Otumoetai-Whakamarama) will not be made on December 25, 27 and 28 and January 1, 3 and 4. Welcome Bay rural delivery will be made during the two holiday weeks on the following davs: Wednesday, December 29. Thursday, December 30, Friday, December 31, Wednesday, January 5,. Thursday, January 6 and Friday, January 7.
Postmen’s deliveries will not be made on December 25, 27 and 28 or on January 1, 3 and 4.
