IMPORT LICENCE REFUSED
FIVE HIJNJVEFD TONS OF FENCING WIEE
_ A statement timt on immrt license for 500 tons of fencing wire had been refused to a co-operative purchasing agency of Federated Farmers (Auckland Province) was made bv Mr H. O. Lloyd. president of the Tauranga branch ' at the monthly meeting.
The reason given, Mr Lloyd added, was that a onmnanv s°t nn by certain private firms had the monopoly for the supnlv of wire. Mr 1 ■level explained that at one time Britain had offered to supply Lie Dominion with 5,000 tons of wire, hut import restrictions prevented its arrival.
