One of the best days for bowling this season prevailed on Saturday, and both greens were well occupied. Tauranga Club
On the Domain green several competition games were decided, and an effort is being made to get all the matches in the various sections played off by Wednesday, March 3rd. Three handicap pairs games were played, the results being:— Andrews, Bell (s) 26 v. N. P. Green and J. Ward (s) 19; Plunkett, Gifford (s) 22 v. McKinnon, Lewis (s) 17; Miller, Woollams (s) 34 v. S. A. Woods, Pilcher (s) 18. Three games were also decided in the Championship Singles, Lewis 18 heating Bell 15, Pilcher 20 v. McKinnon 6, and Sinclair 21 v. Gifford 16. The representatives of the regular forces are still to he selected, and a ballot is to be held to decide the two nurses. These names will be announced later with the names of the 10 returned soldiers, who are not members of the fcrrftorfa! forces.
