SEX INSTRUCTION.
WARNING BY BISHOP OF DURHAM. London, March 29. The Bishop of Durham. Dr H, H. Henson, addressing a schoolmasters’ conference at Sunderland, expressed apprehension about sex instruction in schools. He said be hoped teachers would refuse to give it until it was settled by whom and when It was to be conveyed and what was to be said.
“Experiences of secular education show that we are stimulating and de- \ eloping the bodies of men and sending them from the schools moral and spiritual barbarians,” said the bishop. “This lopsidedness in human character portends fearful disaster to society.”
