FOUR DROWNED.
FATHER AND SONS. Napier, April 21 While standing on the beach near Tongoio, on the sea side of an isolated rocky eminence, about midday on Saturday a father and his two sons were caught by a wave, washed into the surf and drowned. A young man who went to their assistance also lost his life. The victims of the tragedy were: William James Trask, aged 54, of Hastings, foreman at McLeod and Gardiner’s sawmill at Puketitiri; Robert Donald Trask, aged 18, son of Mr W. J. Trask, employed as a plumber at Hastings; Francis Gordon Trask, aged 15, another son, employed as a car painter at Hastings: Stanley Arthur Jones, aged 24, shop assistant, of Hastings.
