COAL TRADE.
X.S.W. EXPORTS DECLINE. Some idea of the financial loss the long drawn-out coal dispute nas caused the northern coalfields of New South Wales is furnished by official returns showing exports of coal from the port of Newcastle for the nine months ended September 30, 1929. During the period in question only! 1,045,477 tons valued at £1,220.722, were exported, as compared with 2,193,212 tons, valued at £2,573,960, during the first nine months of 1925, a period in which exports were believed to be touching a minimum level.
