FRANKTON SALE. There was a good attendance at the stock sale at Frankton on Tuesday. Quotations for pigs were easier than last week, but beef and sheep brought late rates. Bidding for most lines was orisk. The auctioneers report as follows: — . . The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited. —Fat bullocks, £l3 12s to £l4 17s 6d; lighter fat bullocks, £l2 15s to £l3 10s; heavy fat cows, £9 10s to £ls; lighter cows, £6 2s 6d to £9 6s; baconers, £3 5s to ~ 19s; porkers, £2 10s to £3. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited. — A good yarding of tab cattle and sheep and an average yarding of stores. Prime fat bullocks were in keen demand and sold at late rates. Cow beef and fat ewes were slightly easier, while store cattle maintained their values. A heavy yarding of fat and store pigs, which met with good competition. Baconers averaged 7£d per lb. while porkers averaged 7d.
