OPENING OF THE SEASON The Tauranga Rugby Union will open the Jordan Cup competition on Saturday next on the local domain, when the following teams will meet ;

Tauranga versus Matakana, No. 1 ground, at 3 p.m. Rangataua versus Mount. No. 2 ground, at 3 p.m, Te Puna a bve. OLIVER CUP CONTEST.

The following junior teams will meet;

Rangataua versus Matakana, No 1 ground, 1.30 p.m.

Te Puna versus Tauranga, No. 2 ground, 1.30 p.m.

At a meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Rugby Union, held last week, it was decided to notify the New Zealand Referees’ Association and Dominion Unions that this year the rules as altered by the International Board must be used in the game throughout New Zealand.
