Strike Movement Spreads to All Large Towns.

'Iho earliest optimistic reports received in Berne from Austria are believed to have been due to Austrian Sffis3 propaganda. The Neuestc Nachrichten says that the strike movement has spread to all the large towus. The situation in Budapest is serious. Industry is almost at a standstill, the shops are closed, and the tramways stopped. Collisions between the police aud the crowds in Vienna and Cracow arc growing uxoce frequent. Amsterdam advices report that despite the severest' censorship, it is evident that the strike is spreading, particularly in Lower Austria, where all industries are now affected". The
figures regarding 'the. number of strikers art* excised from messages, an occasional oversight by the censor makes them suggest that 10 per cent of the* people are now striking, including those engaged in the raost essential war industries. Eight thousand strike leaders met in Vienna to formulate plans. Violent collisions have occurred between strikers and the police, especially on the Kingplatz and the Opernplatz.
