Rec. Sept. 20, 9 30 p.m. Johannesburg Sept, 29. Alarming earth tremois, due to the slipping of strata at a depth of elevenhundred j^ards, ccqurr^d. Three persons were killed anif twenty-seven injured in one mine. "Geologjißts fear that the town will sink and that many skyscrapers will collapse.
