Steamer's Close Call.
" ' Wellington, Sept 30 3 JT.he cargo steamer Turnwell, which arrived yesterday, while in the Atlantic some months ago was held up by a submarine and the crew ordered into the boats. Before the Germans could destroy the vessel two destroyers appeared and the submarine had to quit hurriedly. The Turnwell was leakiug badly from the damage done, but steamed to iMilford Haven safely. The insurance on her amounted to £90,000.
