Severe Losses Inflicted on Turks

Mr-Austen Clnraberlain, Secretary of State for India, announced in the House of Commons that General Nixon's operations with tho Sixth Division on the Tigris, ou Tuesday, were completely successful. The enemy were seven miles east of Kutelamara, following the river bank.
Two British Brigade?, under Lieutenant Col. Delamain crossed the liver, gained the enemy's position and captured it by a night march to Kute lamara. We strongly entrenched at night. Armoured motor cirs and cavalry engaged the Turkish cavalry. Tho Turkish los^s wero severe. Our casualties w rere under 500 Much munitions and many prisoners were captured.
