MEAT NOT WANTED.
Sydney, Sept 20.
Mr Black, Chief Secretary, in the New South Wales Ministry, states he is still agitating the Federal Government to remove the embargo on meat export. He pointed oat that the meat in three stores in New South vVales was intended for the Imperial Government, on which New South Wales paid £50,000, but the Imperial Government refused to take delivery. The meat was deteriorating and could not be sold here except at a loss of two pence ptr lb. The meat works were closing down, and the action of the Federal Government is tending to divert the meat export trade to Victoria.
