Enemy Defeated in Sereth Area.
Pptrograd, Sept 19 A communique records :— In a geuoral attack on the 17th inst on the sector at Rovjju Kowcl we drove back "the enemy, who retreated in disorder, leaving numerous piisoners, of whom ovei eight hundred were taken at Gorodiehi and eighteen hundred in the forest south of Thonman. We inflicted considerable defeath ou the enemy on the right bank of tho Sereth.
