DOUBLE WEDDING.

A double wedding of interest to many residents in Te Puke and Tauranga took place at the residence of the bride's mother, Te Puke, on Wednesday morning, when the two daughters of Mrs Malyon were given in holy matrimony—Miss Ida Letitia united with Mr Robert James Gilmore, Papamoa; and Miss Elizaoeth united with Mr Frederick Palmer, Waimana, Taneatua -Rev. A. C. Wedderspoon, Tauranga, officiating. Miss Ida Letitia waa given away by her brother-in-law, Mr Dunlop, and Miss Elizabeth by Mr T. E. Palmer. Tl?e bridal party, who were photographed immediately after the ceremony, formed a charming group. The brides, who were dressed in white silk costumes and embroidered veil<». entwined with orance wreaths, were accompanied by their bridesmaid;; —Miss Ethel Bird in cream taffeta tnd black velvet hat with white pluniee, and Miss Maiy Dalton, in cream voile and biscuit-coloured felt hat with yellow plumes —and three little flower girls (their nieces)—the Misses Flossie, Jean and Maggie Dunlop. The brides were loaded with presents from their many friends, and the bridegrooms presented each of them with a set of furs and gold watch bangles and the bridesmaids with brooches. Early in the afternoon the happy pairs left by motor car on the iirst stage of their honeymoon trips—Mr and Mrs Gilmore to Rotorua, and Mr and Mrs Palmer to Wanganui,—setting of! amid the customary showers of rice and good wishes.
