THE PRODUCE MARKET.
Grain. — There is little or no alteration in the value of cereals since last report. An odd line of prime wheat has gone off to looal millers at top rateß, but other gradeß are but in poor request, and then at very low prices. Fowls' wheat has a steady sale at quotations. Oats are dull, very little shipping having been done of late, and local dealers are all fully stocked. Priceß for ordinary feed are a bit easier. Barley is almoßt unsaleable, tho large stocks being in maltsters' and millers' hands.
We quote :— Prime milling wheat, 3s 0J to 3s 41 ; medium do do, 2s 9J to 3s ; fowls feed aad inferior, 2s 4d to 2s Si ; second wheat, 2s to 2s Sd (sacks weighed in as wheat— terms). Prime milling oats, 13 3£d to Is 4Jd j bright feed do, Is 2£d to ls 3d ; inferior do and Danish, ls ld to ls 2£d (saoks extra). Barley, ls 9d to 2s lid. Potatoes, 52s 6d to 65a per ton (sacks weighed in). Chaff, 32s 6d to 47a 6d per ton (sacks extra). Ryegrass, quiet at 2j 6d to 5a per' bushel. Cooksfoot, 4d to 5d per lb. Dairy produce, quiet ; salt butter, 5d to 7d per lb ; cheese, 2£d to 3£d per lb.
