THE VANCOUVER STEAMERS.
The following cable was published on Saturday: The Times' Ottawa correspndent says that if New Zealand ' does not renew the Vancouver subsidy the service ds likely to be discontinued, as Canada is unwilling to bear the whole cost. [PRESS ASSOCIATION ] DUNEDIN, Saturday. It is the Alley line of cargo steamers, trading between Vancouver and New Zealand and. Australia, rand to which New Zealand contributes annually a subsidy of £10,000, whicH is referred to in to-day's cables. The dominion's susbidy expired in April, and was not renewed.
