The monthly meeting of the Hqspital Trustees was held at the secre-' tary's office this afternoon, when there were present : Messrs Bickford (chairman), Wilson* Rathbone, Wratt, Potts; Paulson and Buick. HOT WATER SYSTEM. The. The tenders for the hair mattresses were referred back to the tenderers for further particulars, as were also the tenders for linoleum. The ordering of other lines of furniture was. held; over until /the arrival of jthe new matron, with whom the sub-eominittee- are to confer, a special' meeting ft to be called to consider their recommendations at a date to be fixed . . CORRESPONDENCE. From the Postmaster, stating that the hospital^ telephone could not be given at half cost. 111.1.I 1 . From Nurse Hay, resigning her position on the staff, having been appointed matron wb Mercury Bay. — Resignation, accepted with .'regret, and a, letter of commendation to be sent to Nurse Hay in recognition of her good work at the hospital. j From the Inspector-General, stating that the Board cannot anticipate any revenue derivable from endow- . ments set aside for hospital and charitable aid. THE. STAFF. The. filling of the vacancy caused by the resignation of Nurse Hay was deferred until the arrival of the matron. Nurse Sellar was appointed charge nurse, vice .Nurse Hay. REPORT. Tim visiting committee reported that everything was going on satisfactorily at the hospital. THE GROUNDS. The ground committee made certain suggestions as to alterations to the 'path to give better access to the new ward. — Suggestions to be given effect to. | BAZAAR. It was resolved to advance the bazaar committep a sum of £20. ACCOUNTS. Accounts amounting to £122 3s id wore passed for payment. ISURANCE. It was resolved to insure- tho. new ward for £1500.
