♦ — BUSH- FELLING AT WAITOTARA. [PRESS ASSOCIATION.] . WELLINGTON, to-day. Fifty men leave Wellington next Aveek for Wai tot ar a to do busih felling 1 at 30s per acre. Mr Collins, of. the Labor Department at Waitotara, is making arrangements for the reception of the men, who are to be controlled by the Labor Department. Arrangements are being made for the employment of some six hundred unemployed on hush felling and Toad works, including one hundred from the Auckland district on the Gisborne. railway; one hundred from Wellington on other railway Avorks; one hundred from Canterbury on Broken River section of the Midland railway; twenty on Catlins' River railway ; forty on Nelson end of the Midland railway ; and additional hands on the Dunedin-Mosgiel duplication. Altogether, about* 250 bushfellers are required, and qualified applications number 190. Preference is giA'cn to married men.
