A Sad Story.
(united pbess association.; (By Electric Telegraph — Copyright ) Sydney, March 19. A woman was committed for trial for attempting to drown her 18-months'-old daughter. When arrested she told the police that her husband had been away m the country for ten days, and that she had wandered the Sydney streets with her child starving. The "doctor confirmed her story, and said she was suffering from mental depression and starvation.
