COCKTAIL PARTY
A most enjoyable cocktail party was given in the officers' mess, Narrow Neck Camp, yesterday evening by Brigadier A. B. Williams, officer commanding the Northern Military District, and Mrs. Williams.
The large room had been beautifully decorated for the occasion with palms and clumps of bamboo. Fires burned cosily in the grates and the whole scene was one of brightness. Band music added to the enjoyment.
There were about 130 guests present, including the Mayor, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, and Mrs. Allum; the deputy-MaybrVMr.-L. J. Coakley, and Mrs-.'CoaKleyi-Colonel John H. Nankiveil, /Military Attache to the United' States Legation; Commodore W. K. Dowding and Mrs. Dowding, and representatives of the Army, Navy and Air Force, and their wives.
