FOOTBALL ATTRACTIONS The final series of first division Rugby matches in the Pollard Cup competition will be played to-morrow afternoon. The competition has reached a most interesting stage, only two points separating the four leading teams. Grafton, the top team, which suffered its first defeat last week, will need to beat Marist to win the cup outright. This match will be the chief attraction at Eden Park, and should prove a fast, bright encounter. The curtain-raiser will be provided by Training College and College Rifles, two of the leading teams in the B section of the first division. On No. 3 ground at 3 p.m. Ponsonby will meet University, which last week downed Grafton. Whenuapai will play Otahuhu at Sturges Park, and Manukau and Grammar Old Boys will try conclusions at Manukau intermediate school. Chief Interest in the secondary schools' competition will centre in the match between King's College and the unbeaten Sacred Heart fifteen. The game will be played on the Sacred Heart ground.
