SPORTSMAN KILLED
SHOT BY COMPANION P.A. WANGANUI, Sunday. When out shooting at Kakaramea to-day, a sportsman was fatally shot by a companion, Douglas Hector Leigh, aged 16, who fired at a duck which had just risen. He was: Mr. James Ward, aged 31, master butcher, cf Manutahi. Death . was instantaneous. Mr. Ward was married, with three children.
