LITTLE-KNOWN BOOK

SENIOR INSPECTOR'S COMMENT

Further inquiries made to-day regarding "Man and His World," the book commented upon by Bishop Liston on Sunday evening, only served to deepen the mystery as to the contents or publishers of the volume. In his sermon to the Whangarei congregation Bishop Liston stated that inspectors ofjthe Education Department were strongly recommending the book for use in schools. The senior inspector of schools in the Auckland district, Mr. H. McChesney, said this morning that he had never seen a copy of the book, nor had he heard of it until he saw Bishop Liston's reference. The Education Department in Wellington might know of it, Mr. McChesney suggested, but he himself would be grateful if anybody could show him a copy.
